Photoshop Projects

In photoshop project 1 I learned how to work with layers, opacity, and hue. In this project we had to use they layers and opacity to be able to see the photo of the school and compass through the ONW text. In this project it was challenging to fit the letters into the photo just right. Choosing the font size took a lot of guess and check to get it just right. This project was a fun and challenging first photoshop project.

In project 2 we learned about color contrast and were introduced to the clone stamp. Using the clone stamp was challenging but once I got the hang of it, it became easy. To choose the area to fill with color we used the magic wand and my biggest problem was not turning up the feathering and as a result, there is still some orange space on the sides of the colored areas.

In project 3 we learned about text masks and gradients. New tools I learned about in this project were the mask tool and the gradient paint bucket also we learned how to adjust the colors of the gradient. In this project, along with project 1, it was challenging to make sure the text fit perfectly onto the picture. When you deselect the text you can no longer adjust the text.

In project 4 we learned how to lie with photoshop. We used photoshop to take out a light pole, cars, shadows, and more.  We used the clone stamp to cover up areas in the picture that we didn't want to be shown. To fade the sides of the pictures we used a mask and painted with black paint on the areas we wanted to fade. To add a blue tint to the pictures we used the filter, soft light.
