My strengths include attention to detail, leadership (when I want to), and fire aux. During football season I wrote all of the rundowns for the pregame show which took a lot of attention to detail and leadership. That was probably the most important thing I did in this class all semester. Don't get me wrong, I did a lot of other really important things. I got all of the food for media day, hosted the roundup, and did a few stories here and there. I'm really good at guesstimating the amount of food needed for media day, minus the condiment tray. Oops...

My weaknesses are far more tremendous than my strengths. First of all, my self-diagnosed ADHD causes me to be very unfocused everyday. I really need to work on that. Also, I have little motivation when it comes to sports because I don't like sports; I like news. I get pretty distracted by my friends Will and Cooper. I really need to work on my focus and maybe get some medicine or something to help me with that. I really like this class but I need to start working harder.

To improve I will start working harder and focus more. I need to find what motivates me and pressure that more often. I am very capable I just need to execute. I like this class but I need to take it more seriously.

This weeks blog is on a BBC story about a kid who is 7 years old and was drafted into the military. Imagine being the parent of that 7 year old boy and finding out he has to go serve in the military. This boy probably doesn't even know how to tie his shoes let alone shoot a gun and fight for his country. This story took place in Russia so I guess it kind of makes since but still. In the end it all ended up being a mistake by the children's hospital so this poor 7 year old boy doesn't actually have to serve in the military but it definitely made for a good laugh.
This article has the perfect amount of information to give you everything you need to know but not enough to bore you. The author used a lot of quotes which I liked, but it was hard to keep track who the quotes were from. Some of the confusion may have come from the foreign names, but thats something you can't change so it's probably fine. Overall, this was a funny story that was well executed.
I will implement the author's creativity in my own stories. Finding funny yet interesting stories is important.

For this blog post I read a very interesting article about a woman who escaped prison 19 years ago and was just recently found. This honestly baffles me because how can a woman escape prison and live a normal life for 19 years and never be caught. This woman probably thought she was in the clear, but nope, she was wrong. Anyways, on to the critique of the story. The article was no more than two paragraphs long and I could have read about this for hours, so I wish it had been longer. The story didn't go into any detail about how she was found. I did like, however, they did a side-by-side comparison of her mug shot from 1998 and from 2017, and let me tell you that was hilarious. She looks exactly the same. I will implement the authors use of multiple types of media. Overall, I would say give more detail about the events more than just statistics.

This past weekend I went to cheer ball and it was a lot of fun! At 3:30 I started getting ready with my best friend Lambo. Then promptly at 5:30 I arrived at Bass Pro shops to make pictures with my dope group. Pictures were followed by a lovely dinner at Texas Roadhouse. This was my first time at Texas Roadhouse and I defiantly enjoyed my time. Me and my best friend Lambo started a for fight with rolls and peanuts, that was the best thing everrrrrr. Then we really didn't feel like going to the dance yet so the group made a pit stop at Target. After that we went to Olathe East and danced the night away!

This article was about a cake baker that refused to make a wedding cake for a gay couple. This article was very in depth and well written. I really liked that both sides of the story were acknowledged and had many types of media, including photos videos, and bullet points. The layout and continuity were very satisfying and pleasing to the eye. I really liked this article.

This past Friday we took a field trip to Fox 4. The field trip was extremely interesting and really fun. On the field trip we got to watch the 9 am broadcast and tour the studio. I learned that the anchors only get paid through advertisements, the studio is small, and you work odd hours. We talked to multiple news anchors and I even saw a firmiliar face, Kim Buryns. Ho This field trip got me really excited for the future.

The story I read this week was called "Jury reaches verdict in case killing of NYPD cop from LI". I think the length of the story was spot on and didn't overwhelm you with information. However, the information that was provided was very strange for what you would expect from the title. The story focused more on what happened at the murder and not the aftermath. The writer used very few quotes and the quotes that were used were not embedded smooth. The writer did a good job of getting the point across and delivering the information previewed in the title. Overall, I liked this story.
